11 th. December.
11 December
Had a good night’s sleep as usual after a few drinks. Was woken by Gasman, he did yearly safety check;
I went straight to shop and bought half an ounce.
The smoke check he carried out has filled room with acrid smell, can taste it!
Luckily it’s a beautiful day and I’m able to open windows to get some fresh air in.
Sun is shining and sky is almost clear of clouds, by the feel of the grass outside there has been a lot of rain overnight.
I don’t feel too good despite the fine weather;
chest is tight but apart from that I’m o.k. Feel I should be able to go to the toilet but will have to wait till ready, feel bloated.
I’m sat looking at fire and am convinced he’s put it back on a slant, will have a go at him tomorrow when he returns to replace a grill;
will annoy me if left like this, after all I spend most of my time looking straight at it.
Have only been up an hour and am at a loose end already not knowing what I can do to fill the day.
I should go to doctors and make an appointment for flu jab, an appointment with dentist would make sense,
I need new contact lens and I should call in and pick up some baccy from my dealer if I’m to smoke this week.
Went to loo; bit of a strain but eventually gravity lent a hand and I feel a lot better.
Bit annoyed gas man has ruined painting around fire when he removed the tape but I suppose it’s a hazard of the job, hopefully Fathers kept some paint and I’ll be able to touch it up.
Breeze is blowing through room but I can still taste the smoke bomb.
Got annoyed yesterday at not being able to complete the course work because I haven’t got the same programs in Word as the course uses, may wait till in the mood one day and try to compose replacement pages in word and insert instead of an Excel slide.
Place could do with a bit of a clean up but not really in mood today,
will only take half an hour tops.
Really is a nice day, bit of a chill but what can one expect it is December after all!
I’ve still got a couple of crystanths in flower, they are braving the elements and hanging on for dear life, some weeds are growing in the tubs but I’m loath to pull them up in case I disturb the bulbs which I’m sure I left in, may be snowdrops.
Thinking back this year has been exceptional weather wise, I cannot recall having this level of good weather in autumn; if this is a sign of global warming, bring it on.
If I had been in the old house I’d have had ample time to get the garden ready for the next season.
A twinge of toothache reminds me I really cannot put off a trip to the dentist any longer;
as obviously attached as I am to the last remaining molar I will have to part company with it sooner or later and sooner would bring relief.
Went into town, made appointments with doctor, dentist and optician.
Met Geoff in town so went for three pints with him, bit of crack.
Called into supermarket and bought a dozen browns, home and into first bottle.
Hopefully will have a couple and go to bed. Stomach is getting huge, really bloated.
Got another pouch off Derek will last me the week out.
Went to bed about 4 and got back up at 7.15 watched TV till there was nothing else worth watching.
