Day Five.
7:29 AM.
Went to bed last night about 11.30, took a while getting over but must have had a decent kip to be getting up this early!
Unless mix up with dates on diary entries was laying on my mind.
Either way, here I am.
Bloody cold morning, dull.
Was doing well with uploading entries to blog when again the word verification came up, not in mood this a.m.
Smoking is not pleasurable this morning, think tablets are beginning to have an effect.
Thought it may be the dryness of the baccy which was affecting the taste, because am down to dust;
but opened a fresh pouch and tastes the same, not pleasant.
All my washing from yesterday is dry, just needs putting away when I get into the mood to tidy up.
Definite; each rollie tastes bloody awful, have a taste in my mouth reminiscent of when I tried silver nitrate mouthwash as a deterrent!
It was one of the early attempts to stop people smoking; left an awful taste in the mouth and each attempt to smoke afterwards increased the sensation.
Was banned when people realised it was harmful.
Very nearly cancelled my meal and went back to bed but decided no,
I enjoy my Sunday dinner too much.
Good decision, when I arrived at my parents there was ample signs that ma had been baking and after a meal and a bit of crack I came home with enough supplies to see me through the week.
Arriving home I met the neighbour,
( I’d dragged him along to the smoking clinic when I went!).
He had been directed towards trying chewing gum, I asked how it was going?
None too well, he replied, he was still smoking and chewing the gum without any success.
I agreed to take him along to the clinic next time I go,
I gave him some baccy to keep him going for the rest of the day and some of my ma’s home made scones, (I had several left from last week’s supply).
It’s quite a nice afternoon and I’m able to sit without the fire on, windows open, pleasant.
Been going through diary entries for late Jan, early Feb.
For some reason the entries seem to go to “pot”;
I know I usually go off the rails a bit around the time of my birthday and I presume with the earlier use of the tablets my mind was,
A little confused, to say the least!
Last time I experiment with prescription drugs!
Felt quite unpleasant this morning but felt better after the meal at dinner time.
Spent most of day on computer then watched TV for the evening.
Really enjoyed the film, Snatch.
Watched a discussion program, moral high ground;
hopefully someone will put pressure on the power companies to redress the balance between credit meters and ordinary bill payers.
I do realise that some credit meters are needed to recoup debts but not all users of these meters are in debt.
I for one do not like having to go to the shop for credit, especially when the weather is bad.
The panel then discussed the case of the “potty Gran”;( their words.)
One geek in particular banged on about the harmful effects of Cannabis use, saying doctors all over the country would back him up, saying cannabis use was causing mental problems among users. He then went on to say he doubted Cannabis was less harmful than alcohol; surely medical staff in the country’s hospitals would disagree!
There was an interesting prog. On BBC 2 which gave details of how the British government sought advice from someone who had helped orchestrate the Vietnam war, then later advised Maggie on policies, health care in particular.Went bed around 1.
