Got up washed shaved, hair clean; hoovered up.
Took a close look at contact lens and found it to be faulty,
discarded it and used an old one, eye fine.
Nice day weather wise.
Am pleased with recent purchase of coffee table.
I was suckered into second hand shop by sign saying half price sale, unfortunately the table I fancied wasn’t in the sale but I bought it all the same because of its design.
Makes a nice addition to room, coming together slowly but surely.
Took a long time to find a table of suitable dimensions,
there’s been plenty of coffee style tables for sale but I needed a square shape small enough to fit between the two chairs.
The other, previous table has been relegated to top of stairs and will provide a platform for plants.
The old mint plant, which was showing signs of disease, is coming back strong since I cropped it.
Must be nearly a month now since had Cannabis, don’t miss it too much.
Good to feel clean again. (as in washed).
Feeling better in myself.
Am sat comfortable in chair, all windows open enjoying the bit of breeze as the sunlight streams through the recently cleaned voiles.

I couldn’t have opened the windows in the last place in case some wannabe chav tried to burgle premises, plus they’d be exhaust fumes coming into room and traffic noise,
this place may be small but it has many advantages over the big house.
I often think of the house and remember what I had but I also recall how much it cost financially to keep.
All my possessions are now resident because they are either necessary or deserve their place, minimalist yet practical.

In my mind I can see myself living here for the next few years during which time it will be up to me to get myself fitter and relaxed, no more aspirations to join the “other side of the tracks” perfect place to escape the crowd and be myself.
Too many single people in flats try to outfit their spaces to cater for others, rather than concentrating on what they need;
rooms full of furniture and trappings taking up precious space.
I have a list of items, which I could do with but none are important enough to be pressing.
So what did I do?
Went for walk into village to post letter to Blackpool so hopefully car tax shouldn’t pose a problem this year.
Called in butchers, disappointed none of my favourite steak pies were on offer.
Sat in square eating a not very enjoyable cold chicken and mushroom pie, weather was fine but a little chilly so went to club, sat at bar and had four bottles of an old favourite, Double Maxim, walked home without getting too much out of breath and had a pot noodle.
After which I went to bed and had 12 hours solid sleep.
