2 nd December.
2 December
Had a really good sleep got up at 6.45 had a cuppa, smoke and went back to bed.
TV on blink really depressed me.
Got up and just thought I’d try the tele one more time,
Lo and behold it’s working perfectly!
Don’t know what I did, or how its fixed but fixed it is.
Even able to access extra menus; don’t understand what they do but am able to access them, cannot find hard reset.
Cannot put into words the relief I feel,
I thought, “Here we go again, spent a lot of money on a pup”.
I couldn’t calm myself down yesterday, hence the drink, just wished I’d tried the TV before going to bed.
Only thing I did was to take power lead out for a while and switch off,
must be an automatic reset built in.
I’m chuffed to bits, wasn’t looking forward to a lousy weekend and then having some engineer on the telephone telling me it was scrap.
Plus of course no monitor for computer.
Must admit it was hard work trying to take instructions from an Indian guy on the end of the phone! I very nearly lost my temper.
I really do feel relieved. I was thinking £1,000 up the creek.
Doesn’t take much to throw one’s life into turmoil, something like a television which we all take for granted; worse in my case because it’s a plasma and doubles as a first rate monitor.
The omnibus edition of two of my soaps was on so I was occupied till 3.30p.m.
Watching the episodes I’d missed during the week.
When an episode came on I’d seen I took the chance to clean the flat up and do the kitchen;
got quite a bit done!
I sat up till 3.30 a.m. watching films and odd snippets of programs.
Had a couple of vodkas before retiring.
Was yawning my head off and didn’t take much rocking to sleep!
