Today I was woken up by the gale force wind lashing the rain against my window.
I haven’t had a good sleep;
my right eye gave me jip throughout the night and is now watering in partnership with my right nostril.
Eye is quite painful especially when blinking.

I turn on the sounds and have a smoke.
Cannot go to M’bro in this weather and am struggling to see properly.
Don’t think anything will get done today, may have to retire to bed to rest eye.

Idea.
BBC program in conjunction with Internet connection named something like Joint effort.
Participants have to be assured that no traceable personal details will be taken or kept if they take part.

One direction could be to get Cannabis users to make a short film suitable for Internet screening, in which they make up their Cannabis either by joint or other methods,
A simple questionnaire could be included for example asking if drug is taken for medicinal or recreational use.
The films would show the different methods used as well as giving an indication as to amounts used,
That data must be useful to some researching body.
The government would begin to get an idea of the wide spread use by the number of people who participate,
A small corner or the screen could be taken up with the film preview of preparation.
Identify, audience, produce interesting and important figures.
Highlight true extent of its use.
Possibly move the lobby for the legalisation forward.

Another aspect to cover is the composition of street drugs,
I’m sure some smokers would be willing to send in a sample of any Poor quality gear they happen to have,
You could analyse the parcels and I’m sure some of the findings would be shocking to smoking and non-smoking audiences alike.

If SIMPLE AREA WAS GIVEN OUT WITH SAMPLE TESTED I.E. SAMPLE FROM Grampian area,
Then possibly the quality of street dope may increase if certain areas were named and shamed.

Parents would get an idea of the importance of some of the paraphernalia,
get them used to the sight of torn cigarette papers etc. give them a few clues.
You could also include on questionnaire if drugs were taken on their own or in conjunction with alcohol and other drugs?
The whole exercise, if a success can be tried annually.

Program format could be as simple as having participating films full screen and voices of actors reading out comments sent in.

I’m not advocating power to the people just getting something out into the open and beginning to understand the scope and reasons for its use.

Any mental health problems during period of smoking, somewhat poor question but if re- arranged would either dispel the myth behind psychotic problems and cannabis use.
Possible conflict between users who use it to control moods!

Inevitably these films will end up on one of the fast growing video Internet sights promoting discussion and reassuring the home user he wasn’t the only one to receive a bum deal!
Good title for the part of the program dealing with analysis.

If there’s little or no cannabis in the street drug then what the hell is in it?

It for sure as shot will be injurious to health, contain a multitude of chemicals and waste matter.
There was a program recently aired on TV about a select few users;
it couldn’t have been further from reality,
In parts laughingly inaccurate.

I digress but am sure the above idea would take one of your teams very little effort to make it a realistic reality
My aims personally are as said earlier to improve the quality of the street drug thus providing a safer and more acceptable deal.
As long as the drug remains illegal yet tolerated to different degrees by different parts of the country,
There’s another area of research, sentences carried out say up north and down south, may lead to acceptable sentencing across the country.

Graphic designers can have a field day designing graphics for information.
If the films come in with audio, all well and good but if silent there’s’ an abundance of cerebrum sounds around to provide background music.
