27 th November.
27 November
Got up at eight but was too cold.
Weather is sunny but windy,
had an idea washer fault may be fuse so checked with two others still no dice.
Have phoned company, waiting for a reply.
Went to toilet and a mouse was walking round bathroom, seemed quite unconcerned about my presence.
Don’t know if it’s a field mouse been driven in to seek shelter after harvest in nearby field or if it’s a house mouse, either way if it can live with me then I don’t really mind as long as there is only the one.
I feel good in myself today, sat with new jumper on keeping warm, have no plans to go out today so should save money.
My mood is good today despite wanting to return to bed this morning. I do feel like a lazy day.
The sky is blue with streaky cloud that will no doubt build up as the day progresses.
The week’s forecast is for milder but windy weather.
I may have to go for some shopping but apart from that, nothing pressing.
I really have to lose some weight or else am going to be short of jeans to fit comfortably and considering the amount of jeans I have in my collection that would be a waste.
The weather this month has been remarkable, when I think of it its almost a month off the normal winter, November is usually a month of cold horrible weather but in some areas plants are still in bloom.
My Father’s garden has survived the recent high winds and we are expecting the Leek crop to be ready soon, a welcome addition to some meals.
My mood today could be classified as being somewhat hyper,
Inside I feel good but haven’t the inclination to use the energy I feel,
I.e. despite looking over the growing belly at the keyboard I don’t feel like exercising!
Basic idea behind self-hypnosis is that you will put yourself into a state of deep relaxation, where your subconscious mind is suggestible.
You will then concentrate on one clear, positive statement.
Remember that your subconscious mind is very literal.
An example of a good suggestion is:
Every day, my confidence is becoming stronger and more evident.
A bad example would be: I don't want to be so nervous. I want to be cool and collected.
In the second example, you use a negative phrase, and you use a word ("cool") that should not be interpreted literally.
After you have made the suggestion, you slowly bring yourself back to full alertness, often by counting down from a specific number. Don't worry if you feel like you were never "really" under hypnosis - that is a common experience for many people who enter a light hypnotic trance.
Don't expect a miracle overnight. Self-hypnosis is a skill that takes time to learn, and a suggestion also takes time to reach its full impact.
Repeat the suggestion every day until you see a real improvement in your life.
Just had a quick look at Xmas and looks like mother is going to be busy, xmas eve on the Sunday, followed by another big meal the day after, same with New year; gonna be well fed!
Xmas last year was spent in St.Lukes in the company of 20 others, the meal was a pre prepared catering meal with not a lot going for it; refreshments consisted of three large bottles of shandy.
I don’t really want much more this year; a good meal and perhaps a couple of pints will do me.
I can no longer get any effect from alcohol so see no point in trying to get drunk, may treat myself to a bottle of decent Whisky.
Having made the daily trip from bed to chair there isn’t a lot left to write about!
I am going to have to get my sleep rhythms sorted out, my sleep is not disturbed by waking up for trips to the loo mainly my waking up is because of discomfort in my neck or knee,
I have to turn several times during the night.
Got sick of waiting for call so called firm, have sent them an E. mail with information required regarding faulty washing machine.
Chopped a log and relieved some of the pressure on my stomach.
Whilst sat on the throne think I found out where mouse is coming from, small gap around water pipe. Probably won’t see it again.
