Little pissed off, have been up since 9 revising and filling in diary but made mistake of reverting to saved version and as a result have lost today’s additions,
good job its nothing important.
Weather today is lousy, windy, cold grey and threatening;
my mood is better than of late, having had a good sleep I decided to have breakfast.
First one I’ve had this year, eggs and beans on toast, cereal and milk.
While taking out the rubbish to the bin I called on the neighbour and he has agreed to come along with me to the smoking clinic later this afternoon;
my reason for inviting him was to hopefully give me an allie in my quest to stop.
We have both been trying to cut down for a number of weeks now.
I have been going through some of the modules in my coursework and have spent quite a bit of time on mail merge and manipulation of data and tables. Feeling confident.
Yesterday I was researching courses available and seem to remember finding one by learndirect which may help with copy editing.
A few years ago a friend of mine gave me some liquid which his firm had provided him with for washing after he’d been in contact with potentially hazardous waste products, a very strong anti bacterial wash.
Before going to bed last night I put some of the neat liquid on a spot on the side of my nose which has been around for months and grown to the size of a garden pea.
I also put some on the sty on my left eye.
Upon inspection this morning the sty has gone and the spot significantly reduced in size. Result!
Must be more careful in future with opening saved versions!
Little bit of broken sunshine appears but the sound of the wind is enough to instil chill.
Another session and then I’ll have to get ready to venture out.
4:02 PM
Have returned from town having stopped for a pint.
Had no problems convincing the staff that I’d researched Zyban and was ready to give it another try.
This time was a little more detailed than when the smoking cessation clinics started;
I found the staff helpful and there was plenty of information available for most situations.
The weather has gradually become worse and I think a stormy night is in the pipeline.
I was going to go for another couple of pints but decided against it, after all there is whisky in the jar if required.
My neighbours reading for carbon monoxide was 30 and my own was 56 so we will see who can reduce the most.
I may be sat in my chair smoking but at least I’ve taken the step and realised I need help to overcome the addiction.
