Up at 12, went to neighbours and had a smoke; bloody cold day.
Decided to tidy up today so have been to shop and bought some baccy and a bottle of low strength vodka for tonight.
Looks like out area will miss the snow showers, we are getting the rain and sleet for the next few days.
Am sat, room is warming up and I’m having a couple of smokes before beginning work, noticed I smell a bit so may jump into bath when finished.
Have plenty to do, all the rooms need tidying and there is the washing still waiting to be done, should keep me occupied most of the afternoon.
The vodka I bought is only 20+% but at £5.00 per bottle might just be enough to last the night, didn’t fancy buying full strength and getting drunk, will see how it is, after all it’s not much more than the price of a couple of pints.
Mother’s birthday today; should really have popped up to see her but will see her on Sunday.
I’ve once again got into a rut, not washed, neglected the flat, generally done nothing at all, not even course work.
Even daily diary entries have become a chore and I’ve been loath to keep it up to date, probably because there is nothing to report.
I did consider getting a bottle, some baccy and having an afternoon session with one of the neighbours, but then I thought to myself; “am I that desperate for conversation?”.
I’m sat, listening to meditation sounds, getting myself set up for the effort of cleaning.
My flat is O.K., if compared to some of the neighbour’s but has fell below the standard I usually set myself and therefore troubles me.
Will try out new washer, hope its o.k.
I drain my tea and notice the extent of the tea stains inside the tankard, reminding me I’ve been neglecting my teeth this week; am looking forward to a bath when finished, always makes me feel better.
Apparently there is some gear around but the price works out to £200 per ounce!
Most of us have decided to leave it alone.
In the past six months customs officers have seized 40 million illegal cigarettes in the Tees area alone.
Fake cigarettes, which are produced mainly in unregulated factories in the Far East and Eastern Europe, are apparently five times as dangerous as normal cigarettes.
They can contain 160% more tar, 80% more nicotine and higher levels of carcinogens - such as cadmium, arsenic and lead - than normal cigarettes.
