Up early again 8 a.m.
Sat till 9.30. Post brought a letter from council; they appreciate the tidying up of front garden but don’t like the way the turfs were “stored” in the back garden, gave me 7 days to rectify situation, obviously neighbour had reported the sods been there.
I explained to the thick prat that instead of throwing half a tone of sods away you leave them to dry, reclaim the soil and throw away the dead grass!
Took about an hour and half beating the sods against a brick to loosen the soil and ended up with half a dustbin of grass.
The newly planted flowers (300) in the front looked a bit sad so once again I was up and down stairs with a bucket of water to give them a drink.
Laid on the bed, exhausted I began to wonder if starting a garden was a good idea, especially now that both the front and the back gardens had become my resposibility. All that was needed was a hose pipe but none of the taps in the flat are suitable for a connection. I ventired into the village and looked through some fittings, eventually came across one that would fit onto the washer outlet, bought 50 metres of pipe and a jubilee clip and after a bit of a chew getting the adapter onto the pipe and getting the kinks out of what is a cheap hose I was cooking with gas; watering the garden would be a lot easier.
I took the freeview box to the club for one of the lads and ended up in a round so did a sharp exit and returned home to find a prescription for Olazapine; just caught the chemist in time so should get a good night’s sleep tonight.
Last night Iii’d been promised a half ounce of soap bar but none materialised.
Am in a lot of pain but will just have to get used to it till the hard work of making a couple of new gardens is over.
At least I have an avenue for activity which will get me out of the chair and now my study is almost completed I have no real excuse.
Saw myold home town featred on freak tv last night, highlighting Booze britain, was quite embarassing; made me more usre that I wasn’t missing anything by not ventiring into town on a night time.
Am going to have an early night tonight and get stuck into garden again in the morning.
