Good sleep, undisturbed. Whilst chatting to the nurse yesterday she mentioned the side effects of some of my medication. If the aches and acid get any worse I may have to ask doctor to try something else.
Was poorly again yesterday with drink; stomach will not tolerate gassy lager, I suppose the real reason for going to the club was to have the chance to get a rollie.
Weather has changed today, there is a strong cold northerly wind which is chilling the temperature. Not a good day to be venturing out; I do have an appointment later with doctor but will go in car.
"Sixty is the worst age to be," said the 60-year-old man.
"You always feel like you have to pee and most of the time you stand there and nothing comes out."
"Ah, that's nothing," said the 70-year-old.
"When you're seventy, you don't have a bowel movement any more.
You take laxatives, eat bran, sit on the toilet all day and nothing' comes out!"
"Actually," said the 80-year -old,
"Eighty is the worst age of all."
"Do you have trouble peeing, too?" asked the 60-year old.
"No, I pee every morning at 6:00. I pee like a racehorse on a flat rock; no problem at all."
"So, do you have a problem with your bowel movement?"
"No, I have one every morning at 6:30." Exasperated, the 60-year-old said,
"You pee every morning at 6:00 and crap every morning at 6:30. So what's so bad about being 80?"
"I don't wake up until 7:00."
What you think upon grows.
Whatever you allow to occupy your mind you magnify in your life.
Whether the subject of your thoughts be good or bad, the law works and the condition grows. Any subject that you keep out of your mind tends to diminish in your life,
because what you do not use atrophies.
The more you think about lack, bad times, etc., the worse will your business be;
and the more you think of prosperity, abundance, and success, the more of these things will you bring into your life. (Do you believe that?).
The more you think about your grievances or the injustices that you have suffered,
the more such trials will you continue to receive;
and the more you think of the good fortune you have had, the more good fortune will come to you.
This is the basic, fundamental, all-inclusive Law of Mind, and actually all psychological and metaphysical teaching is little more than a commentary upon this.
Be still.
Look.
Listen.
Be present.
Say or think
"I AM" and add nothing to it.
Eckhart Tolle

In the beginning there was nothing.
God said, 'Let there be light!' And there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good enough to grow Cannabis.
There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better.
Treat yourself everyday to a dose of good humour. This alone will solve a surprising number of your problems and is tremendously effective in self-healing.
Emmet Fox (1886-1951)
All of my life I wanted to be somebody.
Now, I am finally somebody... it isn't me.
Dweller on the Threshold
I'm a dweller on the threshold
And I'm waiting at the door
And I'm standing in the darkness
I don't want to wait no more
I have seen without perceiving
I have been another man
Let me pierce the realm of glamour
So I know just what I am
Feel the angel of the present
Feel the angel of the present
In the mighty crystal fire
Lift me up and soothe my darkness
Let me travel even higher
I'm a dweller on the threshold
As I cross the burning ground
Let me go down to the water
Watch the great illusion drown
I'm gonna turn and face the music
I'm gonna turn and face the music
The music of the spirit
Lift me up and soothe my darkness
Where the midnight disappears
I will walk out of the darkness
And I'll walk into the light
And I'll sing the song of Ages
And the dawn will end the night
I'm a dweller on the threshold
And I'm waiting at the door
And I'm standing in the darknessI don't want to wait no more.

The greatest discovery of my generation was the knowledge that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes.
The grateful mind is a great mind, and attracts to it great things.
Plato (427-348 BCE)
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life...It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast; a house into a home; a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past; brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has many--not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.
Charles Dickens (1812-1870)

“Life isn't fair...so stop being surprised when it’s not.
Don’t fight the world. You’ll never win. You’ll never please or beat everyone.
Less is more.
No matter how hard you work to acquire possessions, status and experiences, you will always have more than some, but not as much as others.
No matter how stressed-out you are at any given time,
repeat to yourself,
“This too shall pass.”
Where you are today is a result of your own belief system. Wherever you are today in life is a direct result of what you have decided to believe.
If you can accept that truth, you can change your circumstances because you recognize what very few ever recognize.
The power to change your life is in your brain.
The thoughts that you consistently entertain will form your own personal belief system.
Change your life and your circumstances by changing your thoughts, hour by hour and day by day.
Fill your mind with thoughts of where you want to go, not where you are today.
