27 th June.

27 June 2007
had a bit of a shock when the date displayed Friday, 27th, then I realised it had progressed to July, don’t know how.
Simply fixed from clock.

Internet radio is once again off line, annoying.
Am having to listen to some discs I compiled a few years ago, not really what I would have liked but sounds are sounds.

If you do not find an intelligent companion, a wise and well-behaved person going the same way as yourself, then go on your way alone, like a king abandoning a conquered kingdom, or like a great elephant in the deep forest. – Buddha

I have joined a dating agency for the 50+ will see what is on offer.

I spent a couple of hours trying to find some disabled friendly accommodation and only came up with one suitable place, a nice cottage several miles away from where I’d wanted to be but it did have its own private fishing pond, which would have suited me but my companion being a lady of the shops would probably be bored sick; perhaps phoning her wasn’t that bright an idea!

Today is another grey dull day with little prospect of improving.
Fucking tinnitus is really giving some jip!

I was poorly last night, reduced to vomiting down the toilet.
Was it the three pints of beer or perhaps the steak pie or the mix of the two?
Who knows?
I feel better this a.m.

Pain is still at a lower than usual level.

Father phoned last night; we were going to do some fencing in his garden but apparently the conditions are just a bit too sticky so we have postponed till next week.
I am glad.

When, on the odd occasions the pain does relent one has to decide carefully what activity to do, you have to create a balance and try not to antagonise in case the pain returns with vengeance.

I will have an hour on course work; do practise tests.
Just hope I can concentrate with the tinnitus, it really is a bitch this morning!

Is repetitive action virtuous action?
If behaviour and conduct are merely repetitive processes then all human relationships actually cease.
If I behave mechanically every day, - repeating a certain code of conduct which I have learnt, which I find profitable, or which is pleasant,
Repeating that over and over again, - my relationship with you ceases, completely - I have become a machine. - J. Krishnamurti

The sun makes yet another attempt to break through the cloud cover as the clock rests on noon.
I receive a phone call from the holiday company telling me the owner is willing to upgrade my accommodation if I agree.
I sadly had to make an excuse and put them off.

Hell, what is the point of going on holiday when most of the country is experiencing similar weather?
I looked at the 10 day forecast for Skegness and for this area and, yes, its rain most days.

I looked at the practise tests for the course and see no great problems; just haven’t the patience to revise so will leave live test till next week.

Am in a strange mood today, perhaps because of loss of usual accompanying sounds, perhaps the weather has a part to play.
I am feeling lethargic and irritable,(Tinnitus!).

So we have had almost a month of rain and there is more forecast for the first half of next month.

I’m in the mood to just get drunk and return to bed!
I’m listening to Spike telling of how he began in “show business” whilst serving his country.

I’m going to see if the dealer has anything in.
No joy.
I took his post up to him; he seems unable to get his back off the fucking sofa.
He opened a letter and showed me he is nearly £300 in rent arrears!

US stun gun maker Taser is unveiling a sleeker version of its controversial weapon aimed at safety and fashion conscious members of the public.
Available in pink, blue, silver, and black, the gun fits into a handbag like a mobile phone. It will be launched at a Las Vegas electronics fair on Monday.

Taser guns temporarily incapacitate a target with up to 50,000 volts.
Critics have linked their use to dozens of deaths,
but Taser says they save lives by reducing the use of firearms.
The gun has however been at the centre of fresh controversy this weekend over the death of a man in Florida after police used a Taser to subdue him.
Its use by police in the UK has also sparked debate.
Late last year a man in the north of the country died three days after being shot with a Taser.
As someone with a “dodgy” ticker, should I be alarmed?

Eight out of 10 police think all officers on frontline duties should be issued with electronic Taser stun guns,
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6240659.stm

The gun was used for the first time by North Wales Police in Wrexham last June.
They used it on a dog after receiving calls from concerned residents living in Tanyfron, near Wrexham.
The weapon was used for the first time on a man in Rhyl in August.
He was hit with the gun three times.

The air Taser gun looks like a pistol but uses compressed air to fire two darts that trail electric cable back to the handset.
When the darts strike, a five-second 50,000-volt charge is released down the cable, causing the suspect's muscles to contract uncontrollably.
The Taser causes temporary paralysis and research suggests there is little permanent risk to health.
A laser helps target the suspect and the Taser works at ranges up to 21ft.

Just ordered myself a few pairs of contact lenses have been without for a few weeks now and are missing them!

So, three of the clock approaches and I’m bored sick.

Had my limit for today, in terms of alcoholic beverage.
Recommended limit that is!

Am down to last dregs of tobacco, so today is coming to a rapid close.

Acid is burning my stomach and I haven’t really drunk enough to allow me to sleep over the sound of the gardeners outside shredding some of the undergrowth from the end of the lane.
I would normally go and ask if I could have the chippings but knowing the strictness of work policies nowadays, I decide not to.

I suspect I may have caught a chill, I have been sneezing and feeling snotty for a few days now.
Only person I can blame is a guy who was in the pub yesterday, he has been using a nicotine inhaler for years now and seems to have a permanent cold.
Since 1990, silver demand has exceeded annual production. Above ground stockpiles of silver bullion are declining so extremely that they are approaching zero. There isn't a better time to buy than now!Gold and other precious metals are equally valuable, with American eagle gold coins available in units of 10 one-ounce coins (personal delivery only). The gold price is very good also. Many analysts have cited that they believe silver (silver coins in particular) present outstanding investment opportunities.
