Up at 9, feeling unusually well today.
Was in quite a lot of pain yesterday especially neck but good restful sleep seems to have done the trick.
Grey start to the day but by 11 the sun begins to break through the cloud cover, am thinking about doing some more weeding prior to getting the plants out, they have been in the car for two days now and will soon be flowering if I leave them much longer.

Am getting to end of baccy and am thinking perhaps one more pack and then Zyban should begin to kick in.

Apparently my father’s surgeon had planned to do my father’s op before going on his holidays but an emergency had taken the slot.
So the old man has to wait for his return from his hols and then a further five days for a change of medication to take effect and then he will be able to have his op.
So he will not be home before the end of the month.
I will have to get my garden done and hopefully if the weather improves do some work on the old man’s garden.
He is talking about giving his garden up but that is just because he is pissed off with waiting around for his op.
He is not the best of people when patience is concerned and being cooped up in the hospital isn’t best pleasing him.
I couldn’t imagine what he would be like at home!

I remember when I was taken in the doctor wanted me to stay in for six weeks to get my strength up prior to the op.
I had to plead with him to let me go home, I had to convince him that my life at home was so different to life on the ward, no newspapers, television, or constant stream of visitors etc.
I did convince him that me staying in bed in hospital would make my health worse and he eventually agreed.

He sits on his bed everyday watching patients come in and then go down for their ops, each one that goes before him no doubt annoying him more and more.

For the past six months I’ve left my issues of computer active unwrapped so now when I visit I get a chance to read two copies each day.
I was saving them for something to read in the garden whilst enjoying the summer sun but looks like those chances will be few and far between this year judging by the summer weather so far.
