Woken up at nine, by phone call.
Apparently the old man is having his op today and all his belongings need to be taken home, could we get there for 10.30.
Ma also wants to stop off and do some shopping, i.e. new pyjamas.
We rushed like hell and arrived on time to find out his op isn’t due till this afternoon and there was no panic at all.
Ma was in a helluva mess, all over the place; she got annoyed at him so we left him in peace after only 20 minutes or so.
Perhaps he should have apologised for getting the old lady in such a flap, but he didn’t.
I received a warning of a virus infection on the computer yesterday and was hassled into downloading security programs such as anti virus and anti spyware.
I don’t know what has happened to Norton.
I bought the security package at the same time as the computer; it now informs me my subscription is running out, then a virus warning.
I’m currently running a scan with an old favourite of mine AVG.
During the scan Norton kicked in and began scanning, so had to stop that, turn off system restore in case of infection in there.
Now just sitting back and waiting for the results.
Because of what was said last night in the hospital we assumed we wouldn’t be visiting today, so I took a Zyprexa last night and had a good sleep which would undoubtedly have gone on if not for the phone call this morning.
I did not feel like doing any town driving or racing against the clock.
I could also have done without the P.C. problems, but at least it will serve to take my mind off things.
There’s only a 5% risk during the op so he has good odds.
Looks like today will be taken up with computer maintenance, just like the good old days.
Now the operation has been postponed till tomorrow!
Wish they would make their minds up.
Apparently danger file is known as MisleadApp.
AVG is still active, Norton has told me the virus has now been quarantined.
Now downloaded AVG anti spyware, and doing full check.
Followed up with clean out of cookies and files, defrag and check disc.
Not a lot more I can do.
Hopefully problem solved.
