Up at ten, having had 7 hours sleep.
Weather wise?
A little better than of late, sunshine, cloudy skies and a brisk refreshing breeze.
Was able to leave windows wide open this morning when I went to bed and flat smells a lot sweeter for having had a good blow through.
Had a look at ten day forecast and looks like only two possible days without rain!
Very poor month.
One man died and another was seriously injured when they jumped into the sea off a pier in Essex, in a stunt known as "tomb stoning.”
Emergency services were alerted at about 1830 BST on Saturday when five middle-aged men reportedly jumped off the pier in Clacton.
Two were said to have been unconscious and were flown to hospital. One died and the other is now in intensive care.
I watched a program last night on the TV about this “sport”, and must admit I wasn’t impressed.
If five men jump and only one escapes unhurt, that’s not very good odds!
Went to hospital to see the old man, he seems settled, docs are coming round tomorrow to give him some idea of when op is going to be.
Me, I’ve had a good meal, came home with enough grub to last me the week and had relaxing hot bath.
I called into club when I got home, first time I’ve been in for six weeks.
Apparently the place has gone dead.
Luckily the bowls ground outside has been the saviour with most people opting to sit outside, be they smoker or not.
The smokers are outside and if anyone wants a bit of crack they have to go outside for it.
I ran a complete check of computer and there is nothing to worry about, yet the speed has reduced dramatically.
Takes ages to start up and turn off, will just have to put up with it.
Looks like the village has missed the downpours today so may be able, if the rain holds off tonight to get some gardening done, i.e. weeding tomorrow.
Father’s garden needs to be weeded and some plants are nearly ready to be put out so looks like I will be busy for most of the remainder of the month.
6.30p.m. Best part of the day here.Could murder a joint!
Going to have to make do with acid promoting whisky and lemonade.
