1 st February.
Feb. !st.
Woke up at 10.30.
Rolled remainder of baccy up into 7 cigs and decided to smoke them while doing course work and then try once again to do without.
Was very disappointed with myself yesterday, was looking forward to notching up 48 hours.
Was breathing and feeling better, but last night was once again back to the wheezing.
On the positive side at least I’m off the two ounce packs and therefore have more chance to remedy the situation sooner.
Weather wise it’s not too bad a day , cloudy but fine; I suspect rather cold.
Have made my mind up to do some walking, just need to get my mind into gear.
Hopefully things will come together this week.
The lack of exercise and continuing to smoke has left me without energy to fight the addiction and is therefore stopping me from feeling the benefits, I need to really get my head into gear.
Last week was an exercise in futility, being stoned all the week on tablets, did stop me smoking for a while but the effects of the opiate tablets was too intense to be enjoyable, wasn’t in control most of the time.
I need to stop smoking, get my sleep patterns re- organised and get out and about walking.
I know what I have to do, but doing it is another matter, it’s stupid but as simple as that.
I’m overweight, unfit, unhealthy and immensely lazy in my mind.
Four youths who ganged up on a peacemaker in a street clash have been told they acted “like pack animals”.
Adam Fisher, 33, was punched, kicked and stamped on by up to 20 youths in Saltburn on March 25 last year after he tried to intervene in a fight.
Everyone’s nightmare, do you intervene or simply walk on by?
I would probably intervene, have done many a time in the past; to be truthful I would give it some thought nowadays because it’s all too easy to become the victim.
Stabbings are a regular occurrence on Teesside.
Simon Cranston, 25, underwent a six-hour operation after he was knifed as he tried to stop a fight in Easterside, Middlesbrough, last Sunday.
A 14-year-old boy was stabbed in the street in Millbrook Avenue, Middlesbrough, last Saturday by a complete stranger.
Grangetown dad Lee Hannan was stabbed to death in Tennyson Avenue on December 29.
And earlier this month 17-year-old Liam Perks from Trefoil Court, Stockton, was jailed for three-and-a-half years for stabbing a 14-year-old in the stomach on a Norton school playing field last July.
Not the kind of reputation you would want the area to be known for but apparently carrying a knife is becoming increasingly popular among revellers, with increased seizures in night clubs becoming common.
Fifteen pupils at a Teesside school were suspended for snowball fights in the playground, last week.
"It's just what kids do when they see snow."
Done a bit of course work, sent off another assignment and requested some practise tests. Should have most modules finished this week.
Came across a couple of problems but should be able to sort them out. Am into foreign territory so can expect problems.
Have upset stomach again, going to finish off baccy have a wash and shave and go and get some fresh air! At last.
Had some fresh air, made myself some ham and pickled cabbage sandwiches , watched a bit of TV till ten and decided to have an early night.
Had acid stomach for quite a while but drifted off eventually about one.
